Packed with vivid detail and illustrations that intrigue and entertain, this book explores the fascinating and diverse world of clothes.

Playful, informative, with every page a visual delight, Emma Damon explores the amazing range of ways in which we dress ourselves, all over the world. Though this book displays a wonderful variety of clothes, it’s not a collection of ‘national costumes’ but picks on themes like hot and cold, sports, leisure, travel and shopping, and delves into hats, headwear, buttons and textile patterns along the way. Full of surprises, humour and careful detail, this is a book of special charm.

  • Celebrates the cultural diversity of clothing across the world
  • Includes information on recycling and new technologies
